New Equipment in Nicaragua: Thank You, Alumni

We’re all encouraged when we see communities celebrate around the finished product of a new well. But it’s easy to forget the really practical materials required to make the work possible—the nuts and bolts that keep water flowing.

So when new equipment became a critical need in Nicaragua, we turned to those of you whose hearts have been touched directly by the dedication of our teams—in Nicaragua and across Central America. You’ve seen the work. You’ve operated the rigs. Many of you have even been there to help change a tire or waited with us when a radiator’s overheated. You know how heavily we depend on equipment to help reach those in desperate need, and you more than came through for us!

To all of you who helped us reach the generous $40,000 funding match through our Give Well page, to provide our Nicaragua team with a new truck and compressor, we can’t thank you enough! Below is a special thank you message from Jorge, Nicaragua Short-Term Trip Director.

Dear Short-Term Trip Alumni,

Living Water International Nicaragua wants to thank you for your financial as well as your moral support. Thank you for supporting us in our mission to bring both spiritual and physical water to the Nicaraguan communities that are in the greatest need.

Each new well we drill brings blessings, transformation and a new beginning for many people. All of this is possible thanks first to God, and also to you. Thank you for your economic support that made it possible for us to buy a truck. Without it we could not visit communities that are desperate for our help.

Thank you also for the compressor, which helps us in the work of cleaning and developing each well we drill. Thank you for being present through these blessings in each well in each community.

May Almighty God continue to bless you and your loved ones. Blessings and best wishes in this new year.

Our best wishes,

Jorge Alvarado
