When you support the life-giving work of local Living Water International staff in Haiti, now the impact of your gift will be doubled thanks to Generosity Water! Every dollar you give in response to our work in Haiti will become $2 simply because Generosity Water wants to restore more hope—in Haiti and around the world!

As one of our partner water organizations, Generosity Water has had a heart for Haiti ever since its executive director, Jordan Wagner, heard the story of emigre Josue Lajuenesse and his Haitian community, La Source. Working hard as a janitor at Princeton University, Josue sent money back to his family struggling in Haiti. For decades, Josue had dreamed and planned to implement a comprehensive water system for the community but never had the funds to see it come to fruition.

Generosity Water was moved by Josue's initiative and raised $30,000 to help fund the work. And now that La Source has a spring catchment and pipeline system, Jordan and the staff want to see even more transformation throughout Haiti and continue to help lay the foundation for sustainable development.

That's our mission, too.

After the earthquake in 2010, emergency aid was urgently needed. But now Living Water is shifting from relief to development, and Generosity Water is standing with us, partnering in West Haiti and funding 20 wells. But water projects aren't what excite their staff most.

When the staff visited the site of our new WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene) Program Area last October, the first thing they noticed was the attention and care shown by Living Water staff in each community.

"It was clear as soon as we pulled up," said Generosity Water Operations Manager Landry Doyle of the recent trip. "People were saying 'We appreciate Living Water investing in us for the long term. [The staff members] are training teachers, our kids, our water committee, and we know how to take care of our well.'"

Generosity Water saw the impact of the work without words, too. At one local school, children use hand washing stations at least once a day and sing hand washing songs to help them remember the importance of good hygiene.

"This is something [Living Water's] team has taught them," Landry said. "We've been really impressed with the work the [local] team has put together."

To learn more about Generosity Water's involvement in Haiti, find a La Source documentary screening in your area or download it from iTunes. Then join the mission by supporting the ongoing, life-saving work of our local in-country teams, and our friends at Generosity Water will match every gift—up to $130,000!
