3rd Annual Walk for Water

Living Water International Chicago is hosting a “Walk for Water” on Aug. 24 in suburban Glen Ellyn. Participants will walk 1.5 miles as a group to Lake Ellyn from Ben Franklin Elementary School, where they will collect water in gallon jugs and buckets. They will then walk back carrying the water, putting themselves in the shoes of the millions of children and adults who spending hours each day walking to reach a water source. 

More than 783 million people face the daily challenge of finding water. Many women spend 20 hours per week collecting water, some walking seven miles a day, often for contaminated water, which can lead to many different life-threatening illnesses.

Registration is $20; all proceeds will go toward drill trips in India. Children under 15 are free. Register at  Please bring your own water jug (milk gallon, bucket, etc.) to use for the walk as they will not be provided.
