It all started when ... A friend invited me to go along on the trip. I had considered going on a mission trip many times but there was always a reason not to go.....this time I heeded God's still, small whisper and decided to be obedient. I'm so glad I did! I enjoyed getting to know ... The members of my team (some of whom I knew a little and some not at all), the members of our in-country staff, and the people in the community we served. Relationships were formed and nurtured and now these people are a part of me.
It all started when ... My wonderful pastor at FBC Brewster who had gone on two prior Living Water trips highly recommended it. Then, my 15-year-old daughter had a calling to serve the Lord and work with children. This trip worked with our schedule and everything fell into place. Kim R. and Pastor Rick Julian were a huge part of the easy process!
It all started when ... I started raising money for water wells in Ghana, but I wanted a first hand experience in drilling operation. I did not have the time available to travel all the way to Ghana so I decided to go to Nicaragua. I enjoyed getting to know ... The other drillers in my group and the kids in the village. I can still see their faces and feel their hands wrapped around mine.
It all started when ... I felt a strong tug to actually be part of the on site process with the water crisis. For the past 7 years, I've been a huge advocate to help with the water crisis by assisting different organizations and creating projects and fundraisers that have raised over $45,000 to fund 8 water wells as of today!
It all started when ... I joined a mission trip last year to Haiti. The passion to help others receive clean water remained in my heart. I continued to pray about it and God put El Salvador in my heart. I enjoyed getting to know ... The people of the community and their individual testimonies.
