Ken Adams, whose daughters founded Paper for Water, wanted to selflessly honor his wife, Deborah, on their fifteenth wedding anniversary. He chose to sponsor a well in India—a permanent testament to God's love for the thirsty, reflected in that of a husband's. Such a beautiful family and servant heart deserve recognition, so we asked Ken to reveal the gift in his own words below.
Thursday, April 4, 2013, my beautiful wife, Deborah Adams and I are celebrating 15 years of marriage! I am grateful for her and the joy and abundance God has blessed us with throughout these past 15 years together.
To honor Deb, I want to share this joy and abundance with many who may not have yet experienced the same happiness because they are so consumed by their need for clean water. Drinking dirty water makes them ill, or they exhaust themselves searching for one of the most fundamental resources we too often take for granted.
For our fifteenth wedding anniversary this year, I choose to honor Deb with a new well for a thirsty community in India so they, too, can experience the joy and abundance with which God has blessed us!
