8,840 Miles for Clean Water
Remember Abe Clark? He’s the guy who ran solo across America (2,960 miles) to raise money and awareness to help the world’s thirsty. Now, he’s all rested up and ready for another endurance adventure—this time, on a bike—all in the name of clean water.
On Monday, June 20th, the h2o Ride begins. Abe and three others are riding around the country—literally (clockwise from Austin, TX to Austin, TX)—sharing the truth about Jesus, raising awareness about the need for clean water worldwide, praying continually, and seeking to raise $20 for every one of the 8,840 miles they will ride. That’s one mile for every 100,000 people who do not have access to clean drinking water—over $175,000 to bring clean water and sanitation to people all over the world.
So riding 8,840 miles on a bike around the country might not be your thing, but giving people clean water is. In that case, you can help the h2o Riders bring clean water to the world’s thirsty in a number of different ways—none of which involve jumping on your bike. Visit their website to learn more about how to support their efforts, and make sure to follow them on Twitter @h2oRide. The journey begins on Monday!
