Instead of asking for Christmas presents, I'm asking for a total of $100 to help the people of Rwanda because 1) that country has been through hell (seen the movie Hotel Rwanda?) and is now rebuilding itself after a period of genocide and 2) one of my sponsor children--Vital--is an orphan from Rwanda.
Living Water International exists to demonstrate the love of God by helping communities acquire desperately needed clean water, and to experience "living water"—the gospel of Jesus Christ—which alone satisfies the deepest thirst.
In 1990 we set out to help the church in North America be the hands and feet of Jesus by serving the poorest of the poor. More than a billion people in the world live on less than a dollar a day. At least 783 million people lack access to safe drinking water. Our work empowers communities through hygiene and sanitation education and sustainability strategies to keep water flowing, for life, in Jesus' name.
Responsible development means funding the whole program for the whole person. Gifts offered here go towards safe, sustainable water access, hygiene and sanitation education, and Christian witness programs in Rwanda.
