January 15, 2012 | George R. Brown Convention Center | Houston, Texas Be sure to Run for Water in 2012! The Team Living Water running team was a HUGE success. More than 130 people signed up to run and fundraise with over $80,000 brought in to date for the cause of clean water! Next year's race promises to be even bigger and better. Help us spread the word about water. If you have friends who are running, but don't have a charity to support, please ask them to consider joining Team LWI. Sign up! You can sign up for the 1/2 or full marathon HERE! What's next? TRAINING We'd like to introduce you to Team Living Water's Coach, Rich Reaves. Rich is an experienced marathon and ultra marathon runner. He has traveled all over the world running marathons in Texas, Africa and even the original route in Athens, Greece. He has an amazing story with his life using his struggles and triumphs all for the glory of God. Coach Rich will be sending emails on a regular basis to encourage and challenge us as we train. ADVOCACY AND FUNDRAISING Being part of Team LWI is your chance to be an advocate for the thirsty. Get educated about the global water crisis and what we can do about it. Talk it up with your friends. And don't be shy about asking them to give financially so that desperate communities can have safe water. Get some fundraising tips here.
