A few months ago, Chick-fil-A in Pearland, Texas approached Living Water International about a partnership. Chick-fil-A’s purpose is “to glorify God by being a faithful steward of all that is entrusted to them,” and the Pearland team couldn’t imagine a better exercise of stewardship than providing clean water to those who need it most.
From that conversation, the “PLUS $ONE” campaign was born. Now, every customer that enters the Pearland Chick-fil-A is invited to add $1 to their order, to fund water projects through LWI. Did you know that ONE dollar can give ONE person clean water for ONE year?
Last month, “PLUS $ONE” went live in Pearland, and it was a hit! The launch party included live music, a parking lot full of people, and a lot of $1 bills. The impact reaches far beyond those who graciously add $1 to their order. The Chick-fil-A staff has been personally impacted as well; many of them are high school and college students who are hearing about the water crisis for the first time and becoming advocates for the thirsty. The excitement is growing! Stay tuned for the rest of the story as we carry this project through the summer. Who knows, it may come to a Chick-fil-A near you!
Thank you Chick-fil-A for partnering with us as we seek to actively care for those who desperately need a cup of water in Jesus’ name.

Now when I am in the states I will for sure visit this restaurant. God bless Christian business men like the man that owns this restaurant. Perhaps more business owners will take part in this.
