Living Water

Washington, D.C. Gala Attracts Record Crowd

by LWI Editor

The second annual Washington, D.C. Gala drew 650 people–more than double last year’s number–who spent the evening hearing the story of the thirsty and learning about the work of Living Water International.

Hosted by area businessman Julian Patterson, the event focused on the work of LWI in Liberia and Uganda, areas where groups from the D.C. volunteer chapter have traveled and seen particular need.

Rock band The War played a set, and local pastor and speaker Todd Phillips delivered an impassioned keynote address, emphasizing that clean water can be accomplished for entire peoples and nations in need.

LWI supporters in the D.C. area are excited about raising funds and awareness for the cause of clean water throughout the coming year.
